The Open Government Partnership (OGP) convened a multi-stakeholder validation workshop in Accra to finalise a dedicated Infrastructure Transparency Commitment for inclusion in Ghana’s 5th OGP National Action Plan. Stakeholders from government, civil society and the private sector collaborated to refine a draft framework aimed at improving transparency, accountability, and citizen participation in public infrastructure projects, drawing on insights from a series of prior consultative meetings. Key areas of focus in the draft commitment include enhancing access to infrastructure project information, strengthening citizen engagement in monitoring, and improving transparency and accountability in procurement processes. Participants worked to validate priority areas, agree measurable targets for the 2025–2027 period, and set a roadmap for adopting, institutionalising, and monitoring the commitment, modelled around the CoST approach, through its submission to the OGP International Secretariat.
